The silver birch the iron rails the stately dance

Along the line as through the taiga we advance

The train has seen

All this before

But for us it’s something novel to explore
And so for us as we arrive at 44
Look to the future where there still lies so much more
Some paths are fixed
Some paths are new
That’s the way that happy memories accrue

Hang with leaden disdain

But breaking through those grey shrouds

One golden shaft of sun
Brings laughter on

Burning away the rain
The silver bark amongst the dark trunks of the pine
Read like a true organic bar-code for our time
The taiga stretch....es endlessly
But maybe we can’t see the forest for the trees
