He wants to jump in but he's not sure that he oughta

There's a dog in a sand bowl

He's started digging fast as he can get

By now you'd think he'd be In a deep hole

But his legs are barely getting wet

Cos as fast as he digs out water pours sand back in

He'll be digging for hours before he's got room to swim

It's a hopeless task but he's got perseverance

Or just plain blind optimism

Still his plan of campaign lacks all coherence

When viewed from my superior logical prism

There's a dog in the water

Been at it now for over an hour

If it was a crab I guess by now he would have caught her

And had the poor thing in his power

Perhaps it's where he once buried a bone or

Maybe where some murderer has buried his owner...
