You say that she gets prickly if you hog the conversation round the table

Or how she pulls you up if she catches you confusing fact with fable

She thinks it’s time that you should pull your weight around the house

You think its time to prove how you’re a man and  not a mouse

 

She may get a little angry when you staggers in wasted late at night

Or when you turn up with friends unannounced who sit round putting the world to rights

You talk of such a fuss when you leave your dirty glasses on the floor

But is that such a reason to send you heading for the exit door

 

So she gets a little prickly when she finds you riding roughshod cross her dreams

When you hijack her life to the train of your constant harebrained schemes

So is it fair that you’re the one constantly complaining of your lot

Time to reflect perhaps and  contemplate on everything you’ve got.
