Above the Treeline This was going to be an instrumental but I had some lyrics looking for a home that seemed to fit OK… The pleasures of altitude again, though to be honest I prefer it just below the tree line looking up to the snow – it gets a bit dusty and bleak between the trees and the permanent snow. From the mention of Deodars this was probably written whilst at Holm farm in Ranniket, in the foothills of the Himalaya. RAK 11 Up Above the Tree Line G/E G2 (D2) Ems sus 2 sus 7 A G Heading up above the tree line, turn my face towards the snow Heading up above the tree line, need to breathe that crystal air Tired of behaviours saccharine and trite To the wind let my fancies take flight Heading up above the tree line, nothing moving in the cold
