So what’s this all about? A bust up during a Cambridge ball? It’s origins are lost in the mist of time. Not one I played in public as it doesn’t really work for solo guitar – but it’s very openness made it fun to arrange for other instruments

Breathlessly blowing the air from her sighs
She watches the clouds in the every grey skies
Cast shadows of vapour over the rise of the sun

And running for shelter of silver baked eaves
She crashes through acres of spider-spun weaves
And throwing her head back the rain she perceives has begun

All is quiet for a while the wind blows away
All the cries of those that still play
And the sun looks on

And she sees through the dripping veil of the trees
that its not so easy to please
as she’s once supposed

On her own just a memory on a stone
Should she really try to atone
for the scene she’s made

Growing calm cuts the angry ties of alarm
Has it really done any harm
