Waiting in Bahrain CD HOME

Sandstorm

Another lyric from the Bahrain stopover - perhaps a desert influence, though it sounds more like Arizona. The tune in my head at the time ended up being stolen by 'fat cats'.. so this tune was developed around the guitar at home.

Sandstorm

E7
Here comes the wind blowing up the dust
A7 e7
Look out your window now, see the sun has turned to rust
B – A – B A –G - A
Better keep your head down, better keep it in its place
B – A – B A E7
Better do your best now, better keep out of disgrace

Hear the flags flapping, tearing at their poles
It’s surely got those prairie dogs scuttling to their holes
Pull the covers up – up over your ears
Turn the lighting up – to blot out your fears

A7 E
There’s a sand storm coming feel the grit in your eyes
A7 E
There’s a sand storm coming so you’d better be wise
A7 E
There’s a sand storm coming hope you know what to do
F#7 Bb7 B7 E7
There’s a sand storm coming down on you

Hear the pitter-patter now scratching at the glass
Better keep well hidden, hope that it will pass
But now you get the feeling it’s blowing through your bed
Is it in the room now, or is it in your head?
