No Sense No Feeling

OK, so this was a deliberate attempt to write in classic C&W style (it was about 3am in Bahrain at the time)- but I think the title/refrain is a good hook line.

No Sense No Feeling

E A F#m
She said she was leaving, she said she must go
E F#7 B
But what was the reason I wanted to know
G#m C#m F#m G#m
She said I had no sense if I couldn’t see
A E B7 E
That the way I was living was ruining me

She said that I’d hurt her, the way I’d behaved
She said I was hopeless and couldn’t be saved
She said I’d no feelings for all she’d been through
She said it was over there was nothing more to do

A E B7 E
No sense no feeling, no rhyme or song
A E F#7 B
No sense no feeling, now that you’re gone
A E B7 C#m
No sense no feeling, dulled by the wine

No sense no feeling, down through my spine
A E B7 E

If I’d had the sense to find out how she felt
I’d have torn up the cards before they were dealt
If I’d shown the feelings I carried inside
She’d never have left me she’d never have cried

There’s no sense no feeling left in me now
The person I was has vanished somehow
Perhaps it’s the beer and the wine in my brain
But no sense no feeling equals no pain
